Students from the University of Hertfordshire will be trekking to Everest Base Camp to make a real difference to the lives of children in Africa and Asia.

Their journey to the Everest Base Camp (EBC) begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital and takes them via twin engined plane to Lukla, the gateway to the Khumbu region. From here you will continue on your EBC trek into the heart of the Nepali Himalaya, taking in some spectacular scenery along the way. The main highlight of the journey to Everest Base Camp will be the majestic snow-capped peaks that line the steep sided valleys, and the jaw-dropping views that await at almost every turn. Few sites can compare to the Himalaya from this vantage point.

Hope For Children

Hope for Children is an international charity that passionately believes every child has the right to a happy, healthy and positive childhood.

Almost half of the world’s children are vulnerable and living in poverty. We are changing this by making a safe and fulfilling childhood a reality for more of the world’s children.

We are improving their access to education and healthcare, empowering their families to support themselves whilst developing their confidence and self-esteem. Most importantly we are giving them hope.
