Students from the University of Manchester will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to make a real difference to the lives of children in Africa and Asia. Over the course of 2 memorable weeks, you will climb to the Roof of Africa via the Machame summit route. But before you embark on this challenge of a lifetime, you’ll have the opportunity to visit one of the projects you’ll be directly supporting.

Our Kilimanjaro Legacy allows you not just to raise funds in the name of Hope for Children; it gives you the opportunity to see first-hand the impact of your fundraising by talking to the inspirational staff and volunteers of our partners, as well as meeting the children whose lives you will be changing. You will be given information specifically about how the money they are raising is being put to use and the effect that it is having on vulnerable children.

By the end of this incredible journey, you will have raised vital funds for disadvantaged children, completed an incredible challenge, and developed a real and tangible understanding of a project that gives children the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Hope For Children

Hope for Children is an international charity that passionately believes every child has the right to a happy, healthy and positive childhood.

Almost half of the world’s children are vulnerable and living in poverty. We are changing this by making a safe and fulfilling childhood a reality for more of the world’s children.

We are improving their access to education and healthcare, empowering their families to support themselves whilst developing their confidence and self-esteem. Most importantly we are giving them hope.
